This rarely seen bar contains 5.15 troy ounces of .999 fine silver. It most likely dates from 1975 or later. American Smelting & Refining Co is an Arizona based company which was founded in 1888. In 1975 they officially changed their name to ASARCO. The company was acquired by Grupo Mexico in 1999.
