When will I be notified that I’ve successfully bid on an item?

MPA notifies successful bidders within 1-3 business days of the sale. You will be emailed a copy of your invoice or contacted via phone if you did not provide an email address. We may also mail an invoice, but primary contact is through email.

Please be aware, at this time, the bidding website will not notify you if you’ve won or successfully bid on lot(s) upon logging in. However, it may indicate “you may have won” – this does not take into account the live auction and only the online portion.

When will I receive my invoice and merchandise?

Those attending the live auction should pay for their successful bids in full and receive the items at that time. All successful absentee bidders will be notified within 1-3 business days following the sale and are required to pay the full invoice amount before lots are delivered unless prior arrangements have been made. Payment must be received within 10 days of notification. Merchandise will be shipped after payment clears. We have the right to withhold successfully won lots at the live auction if paying by check to allow check to clear.

What payment methods does MPA accept?

Payments can be made by cash, check (bank check, traveler’s checks, etc.), bank wire (with advanced approval), or Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover). Please be aware that your items may be delayed if paying via Personal or Business Check.

Does MPA accept returns?

Absentee bidders and those who have not viewed the lots in person may be eligible to return items. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information on our Return Policy.

What is MPA’s Buyer’s Premium?

A 20% Buyers Charge (also known as a Buyers Premium) will be added to the successful bid of each lot. This charge is payable by the buyer as part of the total purchase price.

Does MPA offer online auctions with live bidding?

At this time, we offer Online Only Auctions on a regular monthly basis (except when a Live Auction is being held). With these auctions, bidders are able to register and set bids until auction close. Once the auction starts closing, each lot will remain open for a short period of time to allow for last minute bids, until every lot is processed and the auction is closed.

We currently do not offer Webcast Auctions, which is Live Online Bidding during Live Auctions. We hope to offer this type of auction in the future.

More details will be posted as they become available. Please view our Online Auction Information page for updates.
