Includes: two EF or so Expo tickets, Franklin and Lincoln portraits, in a tatterdemalion envelope that reads: “All remaining World’s Fair Tickets / have been sold, and THE CLAXTON COMPANY /controls the same…This envelope contains a set of these tickets. The Caxton Co., / 334 Dearborn Street, CHICAGO” Signed by N.F. Teeberger, Treasurer World’s Columbian Exposition. A few tickets short of a full set, but the first of these envelopes we’ve offered in recent memory.
