Fully brilliant and highly lustrous with a touch of golden iridescence. The writer’s wife is directly descended from a Patriotic Minute Man who was on the field the day the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World” was fired. He stayed with the Continental Army from 1775 until the surrender of the British at Yorktown in 1781.
