Fully brilliant, intensely lustrous, and crisply struck from sharp dies. While five million examples of the date were struck, the commerce of San Francisco chewed up and spit out the majority of this date, leaving Mint State pieces extremely elusive at any level. The present specimen is undeniably choice for the grade, with a reverse at least two points finer than the obverse.
