Mexico City Mint. Genuine, no numerical grade. Sea-water surfaces, sharpness approaching VF on obverse, reverse showing heavy sea-water immersion. The El Cazador went down in 1784 on its way from Mexico to the U.S. port of New Orleans. Laden with silver coinage from the New World, it was lost in hurricane season, the demise of countless sailing ships of the era. Housed in original box of issue with paperwork included.
