Description
Connecticut State Agricultural Society. Choice, nearly as struck, both completely PL in appearance, and both lustrous with a few light haymarks from handling over the years. Includes a Gold medal of 30.0 mm, and a Silver medal of 51.0 mm. Silver awarded to: “Alex. Warner / Pomfret, Conn. / Sweepstake / Guernsey Cow / 1883.” The gold medal bears the same inscription, but it is for a Bull, not the cow as on the silver piece. Rare unissued, rarer still when engraved. (Total: 2 pieces)
