Paper ephemera from the 1936 Columbia, South Carolina half dollar issue. Includes: a letter on letterhead from the Columbia Sesqui-Centennial Commission, which notes in part “Our earnest desire is to keep these coins out of the hands of speculators.” Also included is a three port holder for PDS issues, and the outer mailing envelope with the commission’s logo.
