We believe this to be a 19th-century copy of a rare 1795 Treaty of Greeneville, August 3, 1795 medal in silver. This signified the end of a conflict between the newly born United States and a neighboring Native American League headed up by Little Turtle of the Miami tribe. These 19th-century “re-makes” are eagerly sought by today’s specialists, especially given the five-figure price tags on original pieces. Well worth a substantial bid — these are nearly as rare as the original pieces!
