Beginning with Auction #125 we will be introducing a new payment app, soon to be followed by an entirely new bidding platform, which we played an integral part in designing. Our goal with these new systems is to give our bidders and consignors an improved auction experience, including customer portals where invoices and consignments can be managed. Our involvement in these new platforms means we will have more control than the previously used bidding systems, allowing us to provide better service to our customers.

Because of the increasing costs associated with running our auctions, as well as the development costs of the new platforms, starting with our June Auction #125 we will be instituting a 2.5% convenience fee when invoices are paid by credit card. This fee is no more than we pay for this service and is for the most part a standard in the industry. Our 20% buyer’s premium as well as our low sellers’ fees will remain the same. There will be no fee when invoices are paid by check, echeck or ACH. Our new invoice system will simplify paying by these means.

And don’t forget, beginning with our 104th auction, invoices being sent out to winning bidders the day following the auction’s end will now include a link to a secure payment system where you can pay for your invoice by credit card, rather than needing to call into the office with that information. We will still be here for those of you who would still prefer to call up and pay over the phone or to inform us you’re sending a check as payment.
